L5R Card – Daigotsu Arare

Daigotsu Arare is a Spider Clan Samurai from the new L5R set Torn Asunder. The art order for the specifically requested that the Spider Clan armor should have a demonic oni quality, with spikes and other dark imagery. For this set it was also requested to amp up the violence, and the art order asked for a Spider Clan samurai to be finishing off a member of the Crab Clan. I think my art pushed the envelope a bit, so the really gory bits were cropped out of the card, but fear not I have posted the un-cropped version here in all it’s gory details! Go Spider Clan!
