Drawing Loki
This Saturday from 1-3pm I will be doing an Oil Painting Demo at Jerry’s Artarama in Antioch, TN. I will be working on Loki the Shifter, a piece commissioned by my friend Laura Dasnoit. Laura said she was drawn to the idea of Loki as a shapeshifter and wanted me to paint something that captured that.
The above sketch is what I came up with. It features Loki morphing with all the various animal forms he is associated with. Using this painting I plan to show the following techniques on Saturday:
• How to paint a cool moon
• How to paint a night sky
• How to do an under-painting.
I’ll be doing good if I can show all that in a 2 hour demo, but that’s the goal!
So if you’re in the Nashville area and interested in Oil Painting come on out!
