Jolly Old Elf
Here is my take on the Jolly Elf. I painted this back around Christmas time last year, and got my father to pose for the piece.
I’ve always been amused by Santa’s more mischievous attributes. Sneaking about, leaving coal, and hiding gifts in old socks. I imagine that anyone who spends that much time with elves could not be harmless.
The original is done in oil paint at 12″ x 16.”
I was going to wait to share this piece a little closer to the holiday, but with all my research into Odin, Santa Claus just keeps coming up. So I figured it must be time. If you want an insight into Old Saint Nicks connection to Odin do a google search for “Odin as Santa Claus.” Fascinating stuff.

STAY STRANGE!
This is awesome. A mischievous businessman with a little Willie Nelson thrown in.
